In 2025, the Republic of Kazakhstan celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Based on letter No. 14-0/5448-VN dated December 19, 2024 of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the celebration in 2025 of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan on March 18, 2025, the South Kazakhstan Research University named after M.Auezov and the NGO «Association of Departments of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan «Shanyrak»» the international scientific and practical conference «Topical issues of ethnology of the peoples of the Central Asian countries» and the second discussion platform for scientific research of young scientists on the topic «Ethnocultural values in research were held young scientists of Eurasia».

The celebration of the 30th anniversary of the work of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan sets the task of analyzing the activities of the entire work of national growth of the country's citizens, assessing the preservation of ethnic identity, its role in the general unification process of the state, the dynamics of language policy, the contribution of each of the ethnic groups to the development of the socio-economic potential of their region, business and ethnoculture, ethnopolitics, and ethnodemography in general. The movement of peoples, historical and cultural ties, external and internal factors of rapprochement and unification of ethnic groups and peoples, which actively covers the whole of Central Asia, has its historically deep roots and mutual action in the international arena today. In 2025, along with other anniversaries, honoring the mutually beneficial work of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan provides an opportunity to unite the global scientific community, as outlined in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) 2015 United Nations Conference on the Global Scale of countries, familiarization with the results of scientific research and projects, expansion of mutually developing industries, introduction and enrichment of a system of theories and views in the field of ethnology, ethnopolitics and ethnoculture of Central Asia.

The Republican scientific journal «QAZAQTANY» of the M.Auezov UCIU would like to express my deep gratitude to all scientists, teachers, partners of the university, as well as with best wishes, published its quarterly issue 1(25)03 2025 and the conference materials received in the new year, accompanying the growth of achievements in the field of humanities, education and culture. 

In the current edition, the editorial board of the journal has published valuable materials on historiography and source studies, theoretical and methodological foundations, goals and objectives of the conference are a number of works on the presentation, analysis, characterization and systematization of scientific research by leading ethnologists of the republic and abroad, the science of ethnos and ethnogenesis today, conceptual ideas about ethnic, socio-economic, domestic and foreign policy history, material and spiritual culture of the peoples of the Central Asian countries, ethnocultural processes, religious views, ethnopsychology and ethnopedagogy, ethnodemography and ethnopolitics, diasporology, regional studies, influence on the unifying processes of nation-building and ethnic tolerance, the growth of the dynamics of ethnosociology, mastery of basic concepts and principles, methods and techniques in scientific research, the results of ethnographic expeditions, the development of historical consciousness and worldview of society as a whole, practical application in socio-cultural and scientific research, improvement and expansion of branches of humanities, introduction into educational institutions, socio-economic projects of the country and the region, which do not lose their relevance at the present stage and carry their results to the national and international community.
