Abstract

The article examines the role of independent work in the modern era of digital education, substantiates the importance of its correct and productive organization, identifies the actual problems of managing the process of independent work faced by teachers and students. The interpretation of concepts such as «digital technologies», «digitalization of education», «digital education», «digital learning», «digital educational environment», «digital device», «digital pedagogical technologies», «digital competence», «digital literacy» is given. Having studied modern information and digital technologies and analyzed their applicability, the author offers a list of information and digital resources and software products that are the most interesting, effective and user-friendly and their classification according to the levels of independent work. The possibility of information technologies for activating independent work as components of creative cognitive activity of students, for additional motivation of teaching and individualization of learning, information technologies in the organization and improvement of independent work of students is substantiated.
