CONTRIBUTION OF CITIZENS OF SHYMKENT AND TURKESTAN REGION TO VICTORY IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR BASED ON ARCHIVAL MATERIALS

Abstract

In this article, the authors use the pages of new documents to replenish the knowledge about those difficult years and learn in more detail that already from the first months of the war, Chimkent began to accept thousands of refugees, dozens of evacuated enterprises and institutions. The measured provincial way of life of the South Kazakhstanis in an extremely short time was replaced by a rather harsh reality with a clear rhythm of wartime.The authors offer the reader the information of archival documents, located in chronological order, that is, from 1941 to 1945 by increasing years and in calendar months. This formation of the material allows the chronicle of the war years and the history of the development of events, as well as to study the contribution of G. Hamkent and the Turkestan region in particular, both on the regional scale and in general, at the level of participation and contribution of Kazakhstanis during the Great Patriotic War.
