SHOKAN UALIKHANOV - KAZAKH SCIENTIST, ETHNOGRAPHER, FOLKLORIST, TRAVELER, EDUCATOR AND ORIENTALIST

Abstract

The scientific study of the biography, development of scientific and social activities of ethnographer Sh.Ulkhanov is based on historical sources of Russian and Kazakh researchers. The main issues of study in this study are the stage of formation of Sh.Ualikhanov as a young scientist, the career and main routes of the scientist's scientific escape, achievements and results reflected in the works of Russian military officials and Kazakh researchers, achievements for Kazakh history and ethnology in general, the historical and cultural significance of scientific and social activities of Sh.Ualikhanov for the history and ethnology of Central Asian countries, and the scientific world as a whole.  

The methods of scientific research include a problem-based search, chronological approach, comparative and comparative analysis of sources, illustrative material visually showing the scientist's geneology, rare photographic materials of the scientist's biography, historical and genetic approach to the study of socio-political and scientific activities of the Kazakh scientist.
