DYNAMICS OF THE FORMATION OF THE MULTIETHNIC COMPOSITION OF THE POPULATION IN THE SOUTHERN REGION OF KAZAKHSTAN: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KAZAKHS AND KYRGYZ, RESETTLEMENT (1847-1917)

Abstract

The issue of the ethnic and demographic process taking place in modern multiethnic Kazakhstan has become relevant for many studies that were conducted in the pre-revolutionary period and in Soviet historiography. It was of great importance, and is also of the most serious interest to researchers and historians, ethnologists, political scientists, sociologists and humanities scholars in independent Kazakhstan as a whole. The dynamics of the formation and development of the multiethnic composition in the historical and demographic direction has not been sufficiently studied. The research uses historicalgenetic, historical-typological, historical-comparative and comparative, problem-chronological, statistical,
Іnterdisciplinary methods, which, in a complex study of the history of the formation of the multiethnic composition of Southern Kazakhstan in the pre-revolutionary period to 1924, fully reveal the historical events that influenced the formation of the ethnic map of Southern Kazakhstan. According to the specifics of the research area, archival materials, regulatory documents, materials of the resettlement administration, population census and statistical data, ethnographic notes of travelers, reports of scientific expeditions were applied to the study, which make it possible to objectively and reliably narrate the history of the formation of the ethnic composition, as well as to compile an ethnic map of Southern Kazakhstan. Results. As a result of studying certain in-depth issues on the complex of research on the history of the formation of the multiethnic composition of Southern Kazakhstan in the pre-revolutionary period to 1924, as well as further implementation of the research results into teaching methods of humanities, namely the course «history of Kazakhstan», the main focus is on the entire block of historical events.
