Abstract

This scholarly article examines the processes of the development of the society’s spiritual and cultural consciousness in the context of contemporary transformative changes in Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to the historical prerequisites, key factors, and principal directions of strengthening national identity, preserving historical memory, safeguarding spiritual and religious values, and promoting the cultural heritage of the Uzbek people. The study also provides an analysis of the mechanisms through which these processes contribute to the enhancement of public consciousness and the consolidation of national values in the conditions of ongoing reforms. Particular attention is given to state policies aimed at supporting national culture, developing the systems of education, science, and enlightenment, as well as enhancing the role of spiritual and moral values as an essential prerequisite for ensuring the sustainable development of society, strengthening civic identity, and fostering in the younger generation a spirit of respect for both national and universal human values. At the same time, the author concludes that today the concept of the “New Uzbekistan” is oriented toward entering the era of the “Third Renaissance” – a new stage of spiritual and cultural development that serves as one of the most important factors in the modernization of contemporary Uzbek society. This stage is viewed as a strategic foundation for fostering intellectual advancement, strengthening national identity, and ensuring the sustainable progress of the country in the context of ongoing reforms and global transformations.
