Abstract

the data of the writings of medieval Muslim authors are valuable in determining the ethnic characteristics inherent in the Turkic tribes and the interrelationships of mutual proximity. This is especially evident in the study of the ethno-political history of the Ulus of Jochi and the khanates replacing it. In the article, we showed the importance of data analysis in Abylgaza's works «Shezhire-i Tarakime» and «Shezhire-i Turk» in studying the history of the Jochi Ulus. For centuries, the destinies of the Sandagan peoples and tribes have been intertwined on the territory of Kazakhstan, and a complex process of ethnosocial relations has been taking place. The foundations of the ethnogenetic processes that created the conditions for the origin and development of tribes and peoples on the land of Kazakhstan date back to ancient times. Initially, these processes were associated with the autochthonous population, over time, ethnosocial relations on the territory of Kazakhstan, the formation of large ethnopolitical communities directly depended on the ethnic processes taking place in Central Asia.
