FORMATION OF THE NOGAI AND UZBEK ETHNIC GROUPS IN THE GOLDEN HORDE: SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES

Abstract

The Golden Horde occupies an important place in the history of the Turkic peoples, especially in the ethnic formation of Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Tatars, Bashkirs, Nogais and other peoples. In this article, the author of the article provides historical information about the formation of the Uzbeks and Nogai peoples, the historical and socio-political processes of the Golden Horde. The formation of Uzbeks is directly related to Uzbek Khan, Khan of the Golden Horde. It is known that during the time of Khan Uzbek, many TurkicMongol peoples began to be called Uzbeks. After the collapse of the Golden Horde, Abulkhairkhan created the Uzbek Khanate for the second time, which included the Nogai clans. At that time, the Uzbek nation was formed, consisting of 92 clans. The article presents the ethnic characteristics of the Uzbek and Nogai peoples, and provides a comparative analysis of the tribes (Uruk). Their common features and differences are shown.
The phonetic differences between the Nogai language and the Kipchak dialect of the Uzbek language are presented, similarities in vocabulary are revealed and important scientific conclusions are drawn.
