Abstract

The article discusses some new approaches and solutions to the professional orientation of students at the senior level of secondary school. The problems of career guidance in modern Kazakh schools are noted. The theoretical and practical aspects of professional self-determination of high school students in the works of foreign and domestic scientists are analyzed. The idea of qualitative results of career guidance work with high school students is approved, provided that the process of forming professional selfdetermination of high school students is oriented towards promising professions. It is noted that the situation
of choosing promising professions by high school students is multifactorial, and for the correct choice of professions they have to perform extensive analytical work. Using special questionnaires, the factors of high school students' choice of promising professions and their preferences in choosing a higher educational institution were studied. The psychological and pedagogical conditions of orientation of the process of formation of professional self-determination of high school students to the choice of promising professions are determined.
