The article is devoted to the urgent problem of forming a professional linguistic personality, capable of independently building and correcting his educational and cognitive activities, ready to solve professional problems, non-standard situations in the field of his chosen specialty. Russian and professional Russian language teaching in technical specialties can be solved through the effective, creative application of active and interactive teaching methods within the framework of a competence-based approach. This approach promotes the practical application of acquired knowledge, which forms the basis of motivation, the strength of knowledge, an active lifestyle and freedom of expression based on interaction. The method of interviewing related to future professional activity is considered as one of the effective means of developing professionally relevant competencies of future specialists. It is indicated that the creative approach of the moderator teacher allows you to vary the above-mentioned method (interview) with interactive methods such as a press conference, a conversation, a round table. The transformation and change of forms of work depends on the creativity of the teacher, his competence, the ability to take into account the characteristics, needs, and opportunities of students.
