Abstract
The literary, cultural, and historical values being collected today represent spiritual treasures that, originating in ancient times, have evolved over centuries through poetic traditions. Folk works preserved in the history of literature not only authentically reflect reality but also serve as sources of Sufism, invaluable monuments spread throughout the Turkic world, and folklore that originated in ancient times and continues to evolve. This includes didactic poetry, ceremonial songs, debates (aitys), epics (kissa-dastans), and moralistic verses (terme and tolghau), which preserve moral and spiritual values in their golden essence. These aspects were primary targets for destruction during colonial expansion, a goal that remains on the imperial agenda to this day. A significant portion of this rich legacy is associated with the Kazygyrt-Karatau literary school. This article examines the foundations of its formation, the genre structure of its literary heritage, the causes and history of its emergence, and its connection to socio-political events.
