THE CONCEPT OF «LANGUAGE PERSONALITY» AS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY CATEGORY IN THE MODERN SCIENTIFIC PARADIGM

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of «language personality» as a central category of anthropocentric linguistics, which acquires the status of an interdisciplinary integrator in the modern scientific paradigm. In the context of globalization and digitalization of communication, the study of the personal aspects of speech activity requires going beyond a narrow linguistic approach. The purpose of the work is to explicate the integrative potential of the category «language personality» and determine its place in the system of humanitarian knowledge. The author sets the task of tracing the evolution of the concept from classical structural models to modern multidimensional interpretations. The methodological basis of the study was the methods of theoretical analysis and synthesis of scientific concepts by Yu.N.Karaulov, G.I.Bogin, V.I.Karasik and E.V.Ivantsova. A systematic approach is used to consider the linguistic personality at the intersection of linguistics, psychology, sociology and linguoculturology. The article substantiates that the linguistic personality today is the «core system-forming concept» [E.V. Ivantsova), combining the cognitive, pragmatic and ethnocultural characteristics of the subject. It has been revealed that the modern scientific paradigm shifts focus from the universal model of the native speaker to a variety of communicative types and discursive implementations of the individual. It was concluded that the concept of «language personality» was finally established in modern science as a fundamental interdisciplinary term, it transformed from a metaphorical designation into a strict analytical category, the term has heuristic value: language personality today acts as an «assembly point» for studying a person in the variety of his manifestations, it allows you to explore not only the system of language, but also the value hierarchies, cognitive strategies and social roles behind it, which is especially important in the era of digital communication.
