We view a museum institution as a cultural and educational center, where creative search and scientific research are carried out from an educational point of view. The concept of “museum pedagogy” as a science that studies the educational aspects of museum communication is enriched with new intellectual content. The main goal is to enhance the creative potential of the younger generation through museum culture based on education and upbringing. Excursion work forms a new worldview based on the artistic intuition of the artist, which contributes to the harmony of the individual in choosing a life path and understanding the world around him. In this context, the excursion can be considered as the main form of the museum-pedagogical process. At the same time, the excursion occupies an important place in the comprehensive approach to the upbringing and education of youth and is presented as a pedagogical system, as a type of training. Excursions have great educational value in the process of effective use of free time in the formation of personality.
