This article explores the potential of using artificial intelligence technologies in
the social support system for vulnerable groups in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Improving the
efficiency of social services, expanding the targeting and accessibility of social services, and
introducing innovative digital solutions into social policy all necessitated this research. The article
examines key areas of artificial intelligence application, specifically, automated assessment of
citizen needs, forecasting social vulnerability risks, intelligent systems for monitoring the situation
of families and children, personalized social assistance algorithms, and digital advisory services.
Particular attention is paid to issues of data ethics and security, including the protection of personal
information and ensuring the transparency of decision-making. An analysis of the prospects for
integrating artificial intelligence into the practical work of social workers is provided, taking into
account state digitalization programs, the development of eGov, as well as current challenges and barriers to implementation. The potential benefits of using artificial intelligence to improve service
quality, optimize resources, and expand the capabilities of social workers are discussed.
Recommendations are offered for the development of digital support tools for vulnerable groups
and the formation of a national system for the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
