Abstract

This article analyzes the existing approaches to understanding the legal nature and legal
status of artificial intelligence in both domestic and foreign doctrine. It identifies the most significant
positions of legal scholars in this area, as well as controversial issues. The article outlines possible
approaches to regulating civil relations involving different forms of artificial intelligence. The study also
presents proposals for improving civil law legislation. They concern the hypothesis that artificial
intelligence (AI) is an object of civil law relations, as well as the definition of its legal status, including a
comparative legal analysis of the terms «artificial intelligence» and «artificial intelligence technologies».
The study analyzes the role of AI in modern society from the perspective of civil law. The work discusses
the legal aspects of using AI in various fields, including liability for the actions of As another argument in

development of technology, ensuring a balance between innovation and the protection of the interests of
citizens and companies. The study provides insights into the impact of artificial intelligence on the modern
legal landscape and offers recommendations for lawmakers and legal professionals. Artificial intelligence is
an active participant in civil circulation today, so the issue of legal regulation of relations involving it is
relevant.
